The Boston team has secured a tournament site in the center of Boston on the famed Esplanade, just steps away from where the well known July 4th celebrations take place at the Hatch Shell on the Charles river. With full support from the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) we know that this FIRST TIME ever Freestyle World Championship in Boston is not to be missed. There will be jamming, jamming, jamming, not to mention what Boston has to offer: food, clubs, music, historic sites... and did I mention jamming!


HERE IS THE IMPORTANT LODGING SCOOP:
We have secured an important sponsorship from "Holiday Inn." They have set aside 25 rooms for tournament participants at 89.95 for each room per night. Each room has two double beds and can accommodate from 1 to 4 people (4 might be tight, but the hotel has okayed it, if folks want to cram that many in a room). Just to be clear, that means the 89.95 is divided by the total in each room. For instance if two people share, that's 45.00 per person per night, an unheard of deal in Boston. Plus, the tournament site is only one mile from the hotel and is easily accessible by public transportation - the subway (or what we call the T) is one stop away, or by taxi, which might be easier and just as cheap with a few people sharing. One more important point: you will NOT need a car in Boston if you stay at this location. You can take a cab (or public transportation) directly to the hotel from the airport and use public transportation your whole time in Boston to get anywhere you want to jam or party. That means if you book for 4 nights and share with one person your total expenses for 4 days aside from food and any extracurricular activities will be $180.00 for the hotel.

THE BOTTOM LINE:
To get this deal with the "Holiday Inn," we've agreed to book at least twenty rooms by May 1, 2002. PLEASE CALL AND RESERVE ASAP so everyone can get a good deal. (See below for cancellation info... but who would want to!)

NOTE (other hotel information): 1) Rates will not be adjusted at check-in or check-out for guests who fail to identify their affiliation with the Freestyle Players Association. 2) Each individual will be responsible for her/his room, tax and incidental charges. The hotel requires that each guest guarantee their reservation to a credit card and then establish payment upon check-in. 3) Cancelation: It will be the responsibility of each individual to give a credit card number in order to guarantee their reservation. Should an individual find it necessary to cancel their arrangements, they must do so by 6pm on the day of arrival on a definite basis.
